Art

At Pumpkin's Corner, we believe that every art project starts with a creative mind, allowing children to bring their imaginations to life. Engaging in art activities helps develop fine motor skills, enhances problem-solving abilities, and supports cognitive growth. Through self-expression in art, children can build confidence and explore their unique perspectives.

Music

Here at Pumpkin's Corner we believe music & movement is a natural self-esteem booster. Music and movement activities can enhance cognitive abilities such as memory, categorization, and problem-solving. For instance, songs that incorporate repetition and counting can boost both memory and counting skills.

Language

At Pumpkin's Corner, we recognize how crucial language comprehension is for a child's growth and development. We foster language skills through activities such as singing, reading books, circle time, library visits and introducing new vocabulary. We teach children basic songs and phrases in Spanish. We also understand and validate the child's emotions, working together to navigate and manage any intense feelings they may experience.

Outdoor Play

Outdoor play is a central part of the day at Pumpkin's Corner.  Outdoor play helps support children's social development, physical stamina, and gross motor skills. Children at Pumpkin's corner get outside everyday, whether we are playing in the rain, running, climbing & jumping at the local playground, playing ball on the soccer field, or taking a neighborhood walk.  We also take frequent field trips around San Francisco.
